orcas art show

this show that was on the walls of Enzo's cafe on orcas island for september-october was a big deal for me. since i moved out of Wild's Edge in september i have been re identifying as an artist and exploring new confidence in taking on paid projects. i don't do much drawing just for fun like i used to. many of these pieces are still available so contact me if you are interested in having one.

recent comissions

recently i've been given these drawing projects. the kids are from my mother's marimba class and the bike/mobius strip is for a book cover.

"The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing. One cannot help but be in awe when he contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality. It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery every day. Never lose a holy curiosity." -Albert Einstein

this quote relates to the soul of the pudg, this creature i have been drawing since high school (less in recent years). it is a manifestation of "holy curiosity". pure and simple.

useful refuse

useful things i found on the ground today on my way to town:

mechanical pencil (clear, blue plastic with blue eraser and word KLUTZ in white)

Port and Company brand ball cap (divide and conquer, "san juan solstice 50 mile finisher", lake city - colorado)

child -size socks

plastic spoon

plastic comb

moss-green washcloth

strip of half inch adhesive foam squares

white cotton hankerchief with white embroidered K

Colgate Wisp (torquoise)

note: a lot of plastic in these would-be-trash treasures. i'll probably reuse them all in some way, though i find plastic cutlery exceedingly distasteful. cap and socks may go to the exchange.
